In punctum* wordt geluid een verlengstuk van het lichaam: tastbaar, emotioneel, en onvoorspelbaar. Wat begint als een intieme beweging, mondt uit in rauwe, krachtige klanken. Technologie reageert niet alleen, maar stelt ook weerstand: geluid wordt een tegenkracht. Stilte, ademhaling en verstoringen maken het kwetsbare hoorbaar. Er ontstaat een choreografisch innerlijk dat zich via klank naar buiten keert. De ervaring van nabijheid voltrekt zich via klank, eerder dan via fysieke aanraking.

In punctum*, sound becomes an extension of the body: tactile, emotional, and unpredictable. What begins as an intimate gesture unfolds into raw, powerful sonic responses. Technology not only reacts—it resists. Silence, breath, and disruption reveal moments of vulnerability. A choreographic inner essence is sounding outward. The experience of intimacy unfolds through sound rather than physical contact.

De voorstelling toont twee performers wier bewegingen en gedragingen gevormd worden door de technologische systemen die hen aansturen. Sensoren in het motion capture pak, gedragen door de danser, sturen haar bewegingen naar de hoboïst, die op haar beurt reageert door middel van op maat gemaakte vibrerende handschoenen die de dansers’ bewegingen omzetten in muzikale reacties. The piece features two performers whose movements and behaviours are shaped by the technological systems that guide them. Sensors in the motion capture suit worn by the dancer transmit her movements to the oboist, who responds through a custom-built vibrating glove that translates the dancer’s motions into musical responses. Through this haptic feedback loop, we seek to deepen our understanding of how technology can transform the interaction between bodies, exploring new ways of engaging with the devices that surround them.
